A push notification is a short message that appears directly on a reader’s mobile home screen. This means our audience doesn’t only discover our stories by visiting the website or through social media – we can also send selected articles straight to their phones.
To avoid overwhelming readers, we don’t send notifications for every story. Instead, we carefully choose which pieces to push, usually limiting this to around 15 per day. Managers have access to our push platform, Webpushr, and use their discretion when deciding which articles to send out.
Remember: the higher the quality of your article, the more likely it is to be selected for a push notification!
